Charlotte Gainsbourg
To give you guys a little heads-up on the contemporary (indie) music scene, Charlotte Gainsbourg, the daughter of Serge and Jane Birkin, is releasing some of her work in the coming months. Being the Serge and Jane buff that I am, I've become interested in Charlotte too during the past year or so, and I'm pretty fond of what I've heard from her so far. You can access the Pitchfork news article here, but I'll go ahead and mention here that her latest EP is due in stores and on iTunes September 6 and her double-LP set will be released November 8. I urge you guys to check her out, and I'll probably mention both of them again on ExcitingSounds soon (the EP, specifically, as soon as the next few weeks).
